Funds¶
Funds represent bank accounts for a single organizational entity (e.g., PTA, ASB, EdFund, etc) in FutureFund.
Campaigns and Funds¶
Campaigns are associated with a single fund. When credit card sale is made for a campaign, the money will be deposited to the bank account associated with the fund at the time deposit is made. This may be different than when the order is placed. See Changing the Bank Account below.
Note
Once the campaign is created, the fund cannot be changed. If the campaign was configured in error, delete the campaign and create a new campaign with the correct permission.
Creating a Fund¶
Creating a fund is a 2-step process. After the first step, the fund can be used for testing purposes.
Step 1
- In the Admin, navigate to Store > Setup.
- Click the Add Fund button.
- Enter the name of the fund and the Tax ID. The name of the fund and Tax ID will be displayed on in the application. The name should be a short descriptive name of the organization. It does not need to be the legal name of the organization.
-
Press the Add Fund button.
Once this step is complete, your fund is available for testing and account set up. To accept live transaction, proceed to step 2 below.
Step 2
-
Click on the Setup Live Account button next to the newly created fund.
-
Complete the form by filling out all fields. The Legal Name must be the name of the organization associated with the Tax ID. The legal name and Tax ID can be verified here: https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/ The bank account and routing numbers will never be displayed in FutureFund or any reports.
-
Press the Update Fund button at the end of the form.
One this step is complete, your fund is ready for use with live transactions. Repeat this process for each fund needed in your account.
Note
Your account may have limits on the number of funds supported by your subscription plan.
Changing the Bank Account¶
To change the bank account number, have the account owner email support@futurefund.com requesting the change. All changes require telephone verification for security purposes.
Please have the following information available:
