Connect HelpOut and FutureFund: one roster, one calendar
If you run volunteer sign-ups in FutureFund and events in HelpOut, you’ve probably typed the same list of parent names and emails into both places. Not anymore. Connect the two and HelpOut builds an address book for every volunteer position in FutureFund automatically — Recess Duty, Book Fair, Field Day, whatever you’ve set up — already filled with the people signed up. Any teammate can use these lists to invite people to a HelpOut event, even if they don’t otherwise have access in FutureFund.
You can start the connection from either app: in HelpOut, go to Settings → FutureFund, or in FutureFund go to Admin → Settings → Integrations. Only a FutureFund account administrator can approve the connection, since it shares your school’s volunteer roster.
Once you’re connected, your HelpOut events start showing up for families too. They’ll appear on your School Events Calendar and in the calendar feed families can subscribe to, tagged as Volunteer events, with a link straight to your HelpOut signup page. (Gift card events stay private, just between you and the recipient — those never post to the calendar.)
Everything stays in sync on its own, and the roster is always managed from FutureFund — rename or update a position there and the list in HelpOut updates with it. You can disconnect anytime from either app, and the synced lists and calendar events come down cleanly.
