Duplicating a campaign now asks for the school year
When you duplicate a campaign in the Admin, a small window now opens first and asks two questions: which school year the copy should belong to, and which organization gets paid for it. Both start out set to match the campaign you’re copying, so most of the time all you do is confirm and click Duplicate.
That extra check matters most during rollover season, when you’re often working in two school years at once. Before, Duplicate copied a campaign straight into whatever year happened to be selected in the school year switcher in the upper right corner - easy to miss, and easy to end up with next year’s fundraiser accidentally sitting in last year’s session. Now you choose the year on purpose every time.
If you duplicate into a different school year, the copy comes over ready for a fresh start: no availability dates are carried along so you can set new ones, its name stays exactly as-is instead of getting “(Copy)” tacked on, and it automatically reconnects to that year’s own store category and form when one with a matching name exists. Everything else about the campaign - options, images, and settings - copies over just like before.
You’ll find it the same place as always: open a campaign and click Duplicate.
