FutureFund payouts now book themselves in BeeKeeper
If your group raises money through FutureFund, you can now connect it straight to BeeKeeper so every payout shows up in your books on its own. No more waiting for a deposit to hit the bank, then digging up the FutureFund report to figure out what it was for and typing it in yourself.
To set it up, go to Settings > FutureFund in BeeKeeper and click Connect. You’ll sign in to FutureFund and approve the connection, then come right back to BeeKeeper. From there, tell BeeKeeper which account your deposits land in, and which income account each fundraiser or campaign should be credited to (a Fall Festival payout can go to your “Fall Festival” account, Spirit Wear sales to “Spirit Wear,” and so on). Anything you haven’t mapped yet — or a campaign that isn’t set up in FutureFund — falls into a catch-all income account you choose, so nothing gets lost.
Every night, BeeKeeper checks for new payouts and books them for you. If your FutureFund account covers card processing fees, you can also pick an expense account to track them separately: say a campaign brought in $500 but FutureFund’s fee was $15, so only $485 hit your bank. Turn that on and your books will show the full $500 as income and the $15 as a processing fee expense, instead of just the smaller net deposit — giving you a true picture of what you raised. Prefer to check things yourself first? There’s a “Sync now” button any time you don’t want to wait for the overnight run.
You can disconnect at any time from the same settings page, and reconnect whenever you’re ready — your account and campaign mappings will be right where you left them.
