Membership Leaderboards!
Membership drives are more fun with a little friendly competition. You can now turn on a leaderboard for any Membership campaign that ranks sales by teacher and by grade, so classrooms can see (and cheer on) how they stack up.
To turn it on, open your membership campaign, go to the Options tab, and check “Show leaderboards.” A new Leaderboard tab appears on the campaign with two boards: By Teacher, ranked from most memberships sold, and By Grade, listed in your school’s own order (K, 1, 2…) so it’s easy to scan at a glance.
You don’t have to set anything else up. Families signing up through First Step are already asked their student’s teacher and grade, so nothing extra is asked of them. Families buying from the online store are asked for the student’s name, teacher, and grade right at checkout. If your school doesn’t keep a list of teachers, you won’t be asked for one, and you’ll just see the grade board.
One nice touch for families with kids in more than one classroom: a single membership covers everyone it’s for, and each student it covers counts toward their own classroom’s total, rather than being split into confusing fractions. Both boards also show up on the campaign’s Observer Dashboard, so you can put the standings up on a screen in the front office without handing out admin access. There’s no student-level ranking, on purpose: this is about classroom spirit, not putting individual kids on a public scoreboard.
