Team Edition: Every Team's Money, Tracked Separately
If you run a booster club or ASB, you’re not really keeping one set of books - you’re keeping one set of books that has to answer for Boys Soccer, Girls Track, and Marching Band all at once. Team Edition makes that a real thing in BeeKeeper. Turn it on from Settings, and pick whichever word your group already uses - Team, Club, Project, or Group - BeeKeeper uses that word everywhere from then on.
Every transaction gets tagged to a team, down to the line, so a single check split between two teams works exactly like that. Each team also carries its own balance forward: when you close out the year, every team’s surplus lands in its own account instead of one number for the whole club. You can see income and expenses broken out by team any time, and each team gets its own statement in the familiar format - beginning balance, income, expenses, ending balance.
Coaches and booth chairs never need to log into BeeKeeper. Add them by name and email, and they get a link to their team’s own page: their statement, their budget, and the expense reports charged to them, with Excel and PDF downloads. Someone helping with three teams gets one link and switches between them. You publish on your own schedule, not live, so a team reading their March update in June still sees exactly what March said.
Expense reports can be charged to a team, and that team’s own people get first look - answering “is this ours” before it ever reaches your desk for the real payment decision. And when someone submits through ReimburseBee, our mobile expense app, picking the team is just part of the form.
