Zelle payments, private notes, and clearer budgets
Pay reimbursements with Zelle
When you approve an expense report, you can now choose “Pay with Zelle” right alongside writing or printing a check. Just enter the confirmation number from your bank, and BeeKeeper records the same balanced entry it would for a check, so your books stay accurate without an extra step. Because it involves real money movement, it’s off by default — turn it on for your organization in Settings → Advanced Options by checking “Enable Zelle for Expense Reports,” and it’ll show up in the approve window the next time you review a report.
Keep certain accounts off the expense report list
Have accounts that should never show up when someone picks a category for an expense report — like a reserve fund or a pass-through account? Open that account and uncheck “Available for expense reports.” It disappears from the picker on both the website and the expense app your volunteers use on their phones, while staying fully usable everywhere else in BeeKeeper.
Leave private notes on an expense report
Need to jot down a reminder for your board or flag something about a submission, without emailing the person who submitted it? Expense reports now have a notes section just for your team. Notes are never sent to the submitter, and each one is stamped with who wrote it and when — you can delete your own anytime.
See the impact of a budget change as you type it
When you’re building a budget amendment, picking an account and typing a new amount now instantly shows you that account’s current budgeted amount and whether you’re adding or cutting money — no more doing the math yourself before you’re confident the amendment is right.
