Your Dashboard Status Cards Are Now Clickable

The Bylaws, Federal Tax, State Registry, and Tasks cards at the top of your dashboard used to just sit there. Now they actually take you somewhere.

Click the Bylaws card and you’ll land right on your open bylaws task if you have one, or on your Tasks list if you don’t. Click the Tasks card and you’ll go straight to your Tasks list. No more hunting through the menu to find the thing the card was already telling you about.

The Federal Tax and State Registry cards work a little differently, because that information doesn’t come from Connect — it comes straight from the IRS and your state’s charity or tax agency. When one of those cards isn’t green, click it and a window pops up explaining what the status means, why it’s worth fixing sooner rather than later (a lapsed exemption or delinquent registration can put your tax-exempt status, insurance, fundraising, and even your bank account at risk), and what to do if you think the status is wrong. Short version: reach out to the agency that holds the record with your EIN, legal name, and latest filing, and the corrected status will show up here after Connect’s next update. Your council, district, or state PTA is also there to help if you get stuck.

Green cards stay just the way they are — nothing to click, nothing to worry about.
