Send event messages to your address books

Until now, a message from HelpOut only reached people who had already responded. That’s no help when you need to remind the families who haven’t answered yet. Now you can send your message to any of your address books, too.

When you write a message, you’ll see a new Address books checkbox. Tick it and a window opens with your books. Pick as many as you like. If you have a lot of books (more than eight), a search box helps you find the right one fast. The names you picked show right under the checkbox, and a Change button lets you swap them any time. You can still send to everyone who responded, to your address books, or to both.

Nobody gets two copies. If someone is in two books, or they responded and they’re in a book, they get just one email. And if you schedule a message for later, it goes to whoever is in the books on the day it sends, so new additions aren’t left out.

For example: your Book Fair sign-up is Friday. On Wednesday, send a quick reminder to your “4th Grade Families” book and everyone who has already signed up, all in one message. Find it under Messages on any event.
