A Safer Way to Change Your Payout Bank Account
Redirecting where your council, district, or state PTA’s monthly payout lands is one of the most sensitive changes you can make in Connect, so we built a safer, verified way to do it. Setting up payouts for the first time still happens right on the Payouts page. But once your organization is already receiving payouts, changing the bank account on file goes through FutureFund Support instead — even if you’re the president or treasurer with full edit access.
Here’s how it works: contact FutureFund Support to request the change. We’ll confirm you’re authorized to make it for your organization, then send you a secure, one-time link.
Open the link while you’re signed in to FutureFund Connect with the account we sent it to, then enter your new routing and account numbers. Grab a voided check rather than a deposit slip — the numbers need to come from there so everything matches up with your bank. The link only works once and expires after 48 hours; if it expires before you get to it, just reply to your support ticket and we’ll send a fresh one.
Once the change is saved, we email your president and treasurer to confirm the update happened. It’s a deliberate extra check, every time, so your board always knows when something as important as payout details changes. This applies to state PTAs, districts, and councils — the levels that receive payouts. Your monthly deposit schedule stays exactly the same, just the destination changes.
