Adding a Teammate with a Shared Email? We'll Explain the Name

Lots of PTAs share one email inbox across officers, like president@yourpta.org. That’s handy for continuity, but it used to cause a confusing moment: you’d type in the new president’s name, save, and then see the previous president’s name show up instead, with no explanation.

Connect now clears that up. If you add someone to your Team — from the Team page or from a board member’s Add to Team button — and their email already belongs to an existing FutureFund account under a different name, you’ll see a friendly notice right away. It lets you know the account already exists, confirms the person was still added to your team, and explains that only that person can update their own name by signing into their account.

Nothing extra to set up here — you’ll just see clearer messaging the next time this situation comes up, so you always know exactly what happened and why.
