New Visual Editor for PDF Form Templates

Designing PDF form templates is now easier with the new visual field editor. Instead of manually entering coordinates, you can now place and configure fields directly on a preview of your document.

How it works:

• Drag to create — Click and drag on the PDF canvas to draw a new field exactly where you want it
• Double-click to edit — Open any field’s configuration modal to set its data source, type, and options
• Drag to move — Reposition existing fields by dragging them to a new location
• Resize from corners — Adjust field dimensions by dragging the corner handles

Precision tools:

• Snap-to-grid — Fields automatically align to a 5-point grid for consistent spacing
• Arrow keys — Nudge selected fields one pixel at a time for fine adjustments
• Guide lines — Orange alignment guides with X,Y coordinates appear while dragging or resizing
• Zoom controls — Zoom from 50% to 200% to work on fine details or see the full page

Field configuration:

• Conditional visibility options based on data source and type
• Image upload support with preview
• Formula fields for calculated values

Access the visual editor from any File Generator by clicking Edit Fields. This is available for State PTA Team Members who manage form templates.
