Bring It! (Item Sign-Ups)

List the things you need for an event and let guests claim them. Set a limit on each item so you don't end up with twelve bags of chips.

What It’s For

A Bring It! event is a sign-up sheet for things. You list what’s needed, guests claim what they’ll bring, and each item disappears from the list once it’s covered. Use it for potlucks, class parties, teacher appreciation weeks, snack bars, and supply drives.

Setting One Up

  1. Go to Events > Create Event.
  2. Choose Bring It! and click Next.
  3. Fill in the title, description, date, and location.
  4. Under Items, add everything you need.
  5. Click Finish.

Building the Item List

Each item has two settings:

Setting Notes
Item Name What you need. Up to 50 characters.
Qty How many people can claim this item. Set it to 0 for no limit.

Click Add Item for another row. Drag the handle on the left to reorder — guests see the list in the order you set. Click the trash icon to remove a row.

A few examples of how Qty works:

  • Folding table, Qty 2 — the first two people to claim it get it, then it’s full
  • Bottled water, Qty 0 — unlimited, as many people as want to can bring it
  • Sheet cake, Qty 1 — exactly one person brings it
Deleting an item that people have already claimed removes their claim on it too, and they aren’t told. Check the **Entries** tab before you delete a row.
