Gift It! (Group Gifts)
Collect contributions from a group toward a gift card for a teacher, coach, or volunteer, and let them choose from over 1,000 retailers.
What It’s For
A Gift It! event collects contributions from a group toward a single gift card for one person — a coach at the end of the season, a teacher at the end of the year, a volunteer who’s moving on. Contributors can leave a note, and the recipient gets a gift card they can redeem at over 1,000 retailers, plus every message the group left.
Setting One Up
- Go to Events > Create Event.
- Choose Gift It! and click Next.
- Fill in the details and click Finish.

If an event closes with less than $5 collected, no gift card is ordered. There’s nothing to order a card for, and no charge is made to anyone beyond what was already contributed.
If the recipient loses the email, they can go to helpout.us/redeem and enter their 8-character code. See Redeeming a Gift.
Tracking Contributions
Click the Entries tab to see everyone who has contributed, with amounts and dates. Click Download for a spreadsheet with Name, Email, Amount, Message, and Response Date.
The total collected also appears at the top of the event page itself, where contributors can see it.
