Getting Started
FutureFund supports ticket campaigns for just about any event:
- Athletics: Team and Club Sports
- Performing Arts: Theatre, Choir, Band
- Dances: School Dances, Homecoming, Prom
- Graduation: Graduation and Promotion
- Events: Any other events with ticketed entry
A ticket campaign contains a number of events. Each event is
For example, Skylark High School is selling tickets for their upcoming football season. To support this, a campaign is created and named “2024 Football Season.” In the campaign, an event is created for each home game including the game date/time, visiting team, etc. There are also different types of tickets sold for each event. Below is a list added to the campaign:
- Adult ($6.00)
- Student ($5.00)
- Senior 65+ ($5.00)
When a purchase is made, the event and ticket type is selected. After the purchase is made, the tickets are emailed to the purchaser and can be installed in their digital wallet supported by their phone.
Season Passes
Season passes provide a convenient way to offer purchasers a single purchase for all events in a ticket campaign, often at a discounted price. Click on the Add Season Pass button where events are managed.
Important notes:
- Season passes do not impact the inventory of single ticket sales. Season passes and single tickets are sold from separate pools.
- Purchasers will receive a separate ticket for each event once their order is paid.
Ticket Selling
Tickets are sold as a regular campaign in FutureFund. All the great features around campaigns are available for ticket campaigns. Ticket are sold in the online store.
Platform Fees
Ticket sales have a different pricing structure than other campaigns. Tickets sales are charged a fee of $1 for each ticket up to $10. An additional $0.25 is charged for each $5 increment thereafter. For example:
- Tickets $1.00 - $10.00: Fee $1.00
- Tickets $10.01 - $15.00: Fee $1.25
- Tickets $15.01 - $20.00: Fee $1.50
- etc…
There are no fees for free tickets.
Ticket Distribution
After a purchase is made, the purchaser will receive an email with their tickets. The following can be used for admission to the event:
- Apple and Google wallet tickets
- Ticket QR codes in the body of the email
- Printed QR codes
Additionally, users can access their tickets in their account by logging into FutureFund.
Ticket Scanning/Redemption
There are a number of ways your organization can scan or redeem tickets at the gate.
FutureFund Turnstile
The easiest way to redeem tickets at the gate is to use our app, FutureFund Turnstile. Turnstile allows your volunteers to quickly scan QR Codes as your attendees enter your venue. Install the app and start scanning, it’s that easy. No user accounts needed.
Self Redemption
Each ticket can be self redeemed by the purchaser on their phone by clicking on the Redeem button. Once the ticket is redeemed, it cannot be used again.
Manual Redemption
An admin can manually redeem tickets in the Admin. To manually redeem a ticket:
- In the Admin, navigate to Store > Campaigns
- Select the desired Campaign
- Select the Ticketing tab
- Search for the ticket and click on the Redeem button
