Team
Manage team members and permissions for your district or council
Overview
Team lets you manage the people who have administrative access to your district or council on FutureFund Connect. Team members can be granted specific permissions that control what they can see and do within the platform.
A key feature at the district and council level is implicit permissions — team members automatically receive access to all child entities beneath them in the hierarchy. This means a council team member can access the council and all of its units, while a district team member can access the district, all councils, and all units within it.
How to Manage Team Members
- Navigate to your district or council dashboard.
- Click Team in the sidebar navigation.
- To invite a new team member, click Invite and enter their email address.
- Assign the appropriate permissions for the new team member.
- The invited person will receive an email with instructions to set up their account.
- To edit an existing team member’s permissions, click on their name and adjust their role or access level.
- To remove a team member, open their record and click Remove.
Additional Features
- Implicit permissions — team members automatically inherit access to all child entities:
- Council team members get access to the council plus all units under that council
- District team members get access to the district, all councils within it, and all units within those councils
- Granular permissions — control what each team member can do (view, edit, manage) across different areas of the platform
- Invite flow — new team members are invited via email and guided through account setup
- Password reset — team members can reset their own passwords through the standard password reset flow
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) — team members can enable 2FA for added account security, following the same setup process as unit team members
Tips
- Be intentional about who you add at the district or council level, since their access automatically cascades to all entities below. Only grant access to people who genuinely need visibility across multiple units.
- Review your team roster periodically and remove people who are no longer in leadership roles. Stale accounts are a security risk.
- Encourage all team members to enable two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection on their accounts.
- When onboarding new district or council leaders, invite them to the team early so they can familiarize themselves with the platform before their term officially begins.
