Accepting Your Invitation & Setting Up Your Account

How to accept your FutureFund Connect invitation email, set your password, and sign in for the first time.

Welcome to FutureFund Connect

Someone on your PTA team has invited you to FutureFund Connect, and we are so glad you are here. Setting up your account takes just a minute or two. This guide walks you through every step, so you can get started without any stress.

You do not need any technical skills. If you can check your email and pick a password, you are all set.

Step 1: Find your invitation email

When a leader in your organization adds you, FutureFund Connect automatically sends you an invitation email. The email lets you know who invited you and which organization (your unit, council, district, or state PTA) you have been given access to.

A few tips:

  • Look for the email in the inbox of the address you were invited with.
  • If you do not see it within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
  • The invitation link is good for 7 days.

If you cannot find the email, the easiest fix is to ask the person who invited you to resend it. They can do this from the same screen where they added you. See Managing Your Team for how invitations are sent and resent.

Step 2: Open the invitation and set your password

Click the link in your invitation email. It opens a page titled Finish setting up your account.

On that page you will see:

  • Your Name and Your Email Address, already filled in from your invitation. These are shown so you can confirm they are correct.
  • A Password field and a Password Confirmation field.

To finish:

  1. Type a password into the Password field.
  2. Type the exact same password again into the Password Confirmation field.
  3. Click Finish.

A few things to know about your password:

  • It can be up to 72 characters long.
  • Both password fields must match. If they do not, you will see the message “Passwords did not match.” and can simply try again.
  • Choose something only you would know. This password protects your PTA’s records.

That is it. Once you click Finish, your account is created and you are signed in automatically. You will see the message “Your account is complete and ready to use.” and land on your home screen, ready to go.

What if I already have a FutureFund account?

FutureFund Connect uses your central FutureFund account to sign you in, the same login shared across FutureFund products.

If you have already set up your account in the past and you open a new invitation link, you will see a page titled Your account is already set up. This simply means there is nothing more to set up. From there you can:

  • Click Continue to FutureFund Connect if you are already signed in, or
  • Click Sign in to log in with the password you set earlier.

You will not be asked to create a second password, and your existing access stays exactly as it was.

Invitation links are good for 7 days. If you open one after it has expired (or if the link was broken or incomplete), you will see a page titled Invitation expired with this message:

Your invitation expired, please contact the sender to resend the invitation.

There is nothing wrong on your end. Just reach out to the person who invited you and ask them to resend it. Once they do, you will get a fresh email with a new link, and you can pick up right where you left off.

Signing in later

After your first setup, signing in is easy. Visit FutureFund Connect and log in with your email and the password you chose. If you are ever signed out, just sign back in with the same details.

A note on your access

The invitation gives you a specific role in a specific organization, decided by whoever invited you. Your role controls what you can see and do once you are inside. To learn more about what your role allows, see Roles & Permissions.

Need a hand?

If anything looks different from what is described here, or you get stuck, the quickest path forward is almost always to ask the person who invited you to resend your invitation. You are part of the team now, and we are here to help you keep your school group running smoothly.
