Learn how to connect Google Analytics 4 to track visitor activity on your public-facing pages.

Google Analytics

FutureFund integrates with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) so you can track visitor activity on your public-facing pages — including registration, store, and member pages.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you’ll need:

  • A Google Analytics 4 account. If you don’t have one, create a free account at analytics.google.com.
  • Your GA4 Measurement ID, which looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX.

How to Find Your GA4 Measurement ID

  1. Sign in to Google Analytics.
  2. Click Admin (gear icon) in the bottom-left corner.
  3. In the Property column, click Data Streams.
  4. Select your web data stream (or create one if you haven’t already).
  5. Your Measurement ID is displayed at the top of the stream details. It starts with G- followed by a series of letters and numbers (e.g., G-ABC123XYZ0).

How to Add Your Measurement ID in FutureFund

  1. Log in to FutureFund as an admin.
  2. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Account.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Enter your GA4 Measurement ID in the GA Measurement ID field.
  5. Click Save.

Tracking will begin automatically on your public-facing pages once the Measurement ID is saved.

What Pages Are Tracked

Google Analytics tracking is added to your public-facing pages only:

  • Registration pages
  • Store pages
  • Member pages

Admin pages are NOT tracked. Only pages visible to the public will send data to Google Analytics.

Removing Tracking

To stop sending data to Google Analytics:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Account.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Clear the GA Measurement ID field.
  4. Click Save.

Tracking will stop immediately once the field is cleared.

FAQ

Why don’t I see data in Google Analytics right away? It can take 24–48 hours for data to appear in your GA4 reports. Use the Realtime report in Google Analytics to verify tracking is working immediately after setup.

Do I need to add tracking code to my site? No. FutureFund handles everything automatically — just enter your Measurement ID and you’re set.

Will this track admin activity? No. Only public-facing pages (registration, store, and member pages) are tracked. Admin pages are excluded.

Can I use an older Universal Analytics (UA) ID? No. FutureFund only supports Google Analytics 4 Measurement IDs, which start with G-. Universal Analytics (IDs starting with UA-) has been retired by Google.
