Memberships
Campaigns > Memberships is home to the two membership campaign types and the members they create.
Which one should I use?
| Type | Use it when | Key features |
|---|---|---|
| Membership | One membership at one price | Add-on donation, classroom leaderboards, membership types |
| Tiered Membership | You offer levels at different prices, like Gold, Silver, and Bronze | Multiple levels, level shown on the membership card |
What Memberships Give You
Memberships are a great way to sell PTA, PTSA, PTO, ASB, and Booster Club memberships. FutureFund supports:
- Membership sales
- Member discounts on other purchases (Member Pricing)
- Electronic membership cards
- Membership list management (useful for voting and quorum purposes)
- Recording who each membership is for, such as Student, Parent/Guardian, or Teacher/Staff (Membership Types)
- Dues apportionment
- Messaging members
Memberships can help you raise funds for your school as well as get individuals more involved. Use FutureFund to sell and manage Parent, Student, Family, Staff, and General memberships. Set different prices for membership levels and keep track of all your members in one place.
Notes
- Memberships last for the duration of the school session and do not auto-renew.
- Memberships are created once an order is paid. If the purchaser decides to pay by cash or check (offline), they will not have an entry in the membership database until the order is marked as paid.
Building a Membership Campaign
- In the Admin, navigate to Campaigns > Memberships.
- Click the Build Campaign button.
- Choose Membership or Tiered Membership.
- Pick the organization the dues should go to, then fill in the details.
See Building a Campaign for a full walkthrough of the builder.
Viewing Your Members
Members live on the campaign that sold them.
- In the Admin, navigate to Campaigns > Memberships.
- Click the campaign you want.
- Click the Memberships tab.
Want to see every member across all of your membership campaigns at once, instead of opening each campaign one at a time? Use the Membership Report under Orders & Payouts > Reports. It lists everyone who’s joined, with a link to each member’s page, and can be narrowed to a single campaign or exported to a spreadsheet.
Adding Members
Members are added automatically when a membership order is marked as paid, or manually by an Admin.
To manually add a member:
- Go to the campaign’s Memberships tab (see above).
- Click the Add Membership button.
- Enter the member information.
- Click the Create Membership button.
You can also add many members at once from a CSV file. See Importing & Exporting Members.
Removing Members
- Go to the campaign’s Memberships tab.
- Click the View button next to the member.
- Click the Remove button.
