Changing Your Site's Web Address
Your Site’s Web Address
Every FutureFund site has its own web address, like https://YOUR_SITE.futurefund.com. Families use it to reach your store, First Step, events and fundraising pages. The YOUR_SITE part is set when your account is created, based on your group’s name.
How to Change It
You can’t change your web address yourself in Account Settings. Our support team changes it for you.
- Pick the new address you’d like. Have a second choice ready in case the first is taken.
- Email support@futurefund.com from an email address that is on your Team.
- Include your current web address and the new one you want.
We’ll let you know once the change is made.
Rules for a New Address
A new web address must:
- Be 2 to 24 characters long.
- Use only letters, numbers and hyphens (-). No spaces, periods or other symbols.
- Not already be used by another FutureFund site.
- Not be a reserved word. Some common words, like
pta, pto, schoolandwww, are held back for FutureFund’s own use.
Short and simple works best. Families type it, and it appears on flyers and QR codes.
Before and After a Change
If you can, change your address before you share any links, QR codes or flyers.
If you’ve already shared your address, update everything that uses the old one:
- Links in emails, newsletters and social media posts
- Links on your school or group website
- Printed flyers and posters
- QR codes. Download a new QR code from the Sharing panel on the Online Store page in the Admin. See Store Configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will changing my web address affect my orders, campaigns or reports?
No. Only the address changes. Everything in your account stays the same.
Can I change it back later?
Yes, by emailing support again, as long as the old address hasn’t been taken by another site in the meantime.
